Stuck like glue!

We are now no longer moving out of Lancaster! We figured a bunch of stuff out, and it is now possible for us to stay!! I will still be working full-time, and Trevor part-time and watching Bekah. I am relieved that I don't have to switch doctors so late in my pregnancy, so I will be delivering at Heart of Lancaster, in Lititz, as originally planned. We are re-arranging the house and doing a LOT of spring cleaning since we will probably be staying in this house until Trevor returns from his deployment in 2 years.

I am also super excited to start going through baby things, now that we aren't moving! It is only a matter of weeks now before Danika arrives... on Monday I will be 31 weeks, so we are in single digits!! Rebekah now has her top front 2 teeth, and there are more incoming!

We now have lots of cleaning up the house to do, so any help would be appreciated!

Moving, moving, moving...

Rebekah now has a mate to the tooth on the bottom, it feels like a few are dropping down on top. She is figuring out how to use them to tear apart food, and demolished a chicken finger at dinner tonight. She is pointing at everything, and is going through a phase where she wants to climb up onto anything. She is working on standing by herself, and is making some attempts at walking without our help. She can crawl with the speed of the race car and finds her way into trouble in about 3 seconds when left unattended.

We had a bit of a scare with Danika yesterday... I was having contractions. The doctor figured out what was causing them, and everything is taken care of for now! We are hoping she can wait at least 5 or 6 more weeks before making her grand appearance! I am being transferred to St. Luke's Obstetrics and Gynocology in Bethlehem, and will be delivering at St. Luke's hospital, also in Bethlehem.

Trevor is home packing all of our things up for the big move this weekend. We are anxious about this new step, and are interested to see what the future will bring. We have been stressing out about this for a while, and now that it is finally here, we can't wait to get it over with. I can't do too much work in my current condition, so I am mainly going to be supervising and keeping Bekah out of trouble.

If anyone would like our new address, just ask and I will send it to you!

Oh, and 'tis the season for Shamrock Shakes and Girl Scout Cookies... this is one happy pregnant woman!!!

Houston, We Have a Tooth!

Rebekah's first tooth broke through on February 10, 2011! It is one of the front bottom ones, and it looks like we will have a few more coming in the next few weeks.

On a completely unrelated note, we have done most of the work on getting our health insurance switched over, I found a new OBGYN office, and will hopefully be delivering at St. Luke's in Bethlehem.

The windshield on the truck has been replaced, and we have started packing. It is very exciting and frustrating at the same time!

This is Rebekah at only a few hours old... I love this picture! What kind of pictures would everyone like to see posted???

Love Is In The Air!

As we get into the month of February, there are a lot of changes on the horizon for our family. We are moving to Pen Argyl so Trevor can work for his parents and I can take some time away from work. Things are going to get very busy for us in the coming months with the arrival of Danika, and I could definitely use some time off before the craziness begins! We will be moving around the end of the month... if anyone would like the new address, just ask me! We have lots of organizing and packing to do over the next few weeks, lots of decisions to be made (what are we keeping, putting in storage, throwing out...), and lots of cleaning to do!

I can't believe we are in February of 2011 already... Rebekah is 10 months old! She is making an effort to stand by herself and can walk well with assistance. She still doesn't have any teeth, but we are hopeful that some will sprout soon! She has mastered drinking out of a straw and loves to sit at the table and eat and drink like a big girl.  She loves to climb up on people and make friends with just about anyone.

I am 28 weeks along in this pregnancy, and the baby has a strong heart rate. She is in the head-down position already and keeps trying to escape out through my left side! She had a pretty intense case of the hiccups today, which was quite comical. My blood pressure has lowered and I haven't started to swell yet, so we are hopeful that the pre-eclampsia will not return in full force this time. We have also decided to go ahead and try a VBAC since Bekah was delivered by c-section only due to fetal distress.

Between doctor's appointments, work, and Army classes for Trevor, we have a lot going on right now! Hopefully once we move, things will calm down a lot and we can spend some more time together as a family getting ready for the arrival of our new addition, which will probably happen some time in April.

Here is an old picture of Bekah from when she was little... she doesn't look anything like this anymore!!

New to Blogging

I decided to start a blog to keep friends and family updated with our current goings-on, Rebekah's progress, and the updates on the current pregnancy. If anyone has suggestions for what they would like to see here, just leave a comment and let me know! I am new to this whole blogging thing, so I apologize for any redundancy or boring information!

At Rebekah's last check-up in January, she was weighing in at 20lbs, and measured 27.5 inches long. She is getting so big! She is eating all solid foods and drinking out of cups and straws like a pro. Her favorite snack is goldfish crackers, and she will eat just about anything you put in front of her. She is crawling very well, and is making some effort to stand by herself. She can pull up on things very well, and responds to her name, and a few other words. She loves to applaud herself when she does something great, and won't hesitate to tell you 'no' if she sees fit. She has quite a personality!

She loves spending time chasing after Bo, although he isn't always as thrilled about it as she is! Her favorite past-times include, typing on mommy and daddy's computers, watching Grey's Anatomy with mommy, being thrown in the air by daddy, and helping us sort the laundry (taking it all out of the basket, and playing in it). Her favorite foods are sweet potatoes, applesauce, beef stew and cheerios. She spends quality time with both sets of her grandparents on a regular basis, and definitely enjoys all of the attention she gets from them!

I am currently 27 weeks along in my second pregnancy, with another girl, whom we have named Danika Marie. She is estimated to arrive on May 2nd, but will probably come toward the end of April. Everything has been progressing well so far... the heartbeat is consistently strong, and she is a very strong and active baby! I am getting increasing tired and sore, as can be expected, but recovery from my first c-section went well and we haven't run into any issues because of it.

On an unrelated note, we are not enjoying the ice and snow storms that have been blasting PA lately. It is too chilly for Bekah to be outside for too long, but she does enjoy playing in the snow when she can! The ice makes it difficult these days, but we are enjoying it as much as we can.

We are excited about the coming arrival of our second baby, and we are hoping that Rebekah enjoys being a big sister. More to follow as the excitement unfolds!
